About Kathryn
Kathryn is a LPC-Associate whose therapeutic work prioritizes compassion, acceptance, authenticity, and empowerment. Her approach is warm, down-to-earth, and conversational, with a healthy dose of humor along the way. Her goal is for clients to feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they don’t have to have the “right” words or everything figured out before walking through the door. She especially enjoys working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, creating a space where clients can show up authentically. In her spare time, Kathryn loves watching anime, drawing, playing video games, and spending time with her cat.
Treatment Approach
Kathryn uses an eclectic approach to treatment, pulling from various evidence‑based theories to best support her client’s unique situation. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Approaches, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, etc. She works from a person-centered approach that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
Professional Experience
Kathryn has experience working at a nonprofit with adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as mental health PHP/IOP programs for adults and teens. Kathryn has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, major life changes, people pleasing, and much more.
